Like to break the rules?! Weddings have traditions and these traditions can sometimes be mistaken as “rules”, that you have to follow. When it comes to weddings now, there are no rules. Everyone wants to be different, and to have a unique spin on an old tradition. That is where I think the first look is such an incredible way to see your groom on the wedding day. Here are some reasons I am pro first look!
- It allows more time for photos – Shooting all or most of the photos before the ceremony and the reception gives more photo time than trying to cram all the formals in little time that separates the ceremony from the reception. This way, there is no need to rush, you can schedule in multiple locations and there will be a better chance of getting all the photos you want.
- You’ll feel more relaxed – You get to have fun with your future hubby and the bridal party before the “I Do’s.” All the nerves float away, so walking down the aisle will be easy.
- You get to have some alone time with your man – For me, I had the ceremony then photos, but looking at how we could have had that moment….. it would have been a whole different experience! When you walk down the aisle you don’t have that chance to talk, to hold each other and have that kiss you have been wanting. The whole day will definitely be a blur so this is a great chance for you to just hang out with your hubby to be… doesn’t this sound amazing!??!
