The End Of The Season {Chilliwack Wedding Photographer}

Brittany and Chris are so full of energy and pure fun!  They were married at a church in Chilliwack and had their reception at gorgeous Minter Gardens.  We were expecting rain that day so I had all my umbrellas in hand and the lovely Zoe to assist me.  God must have been listening to a lot of prayers because there was zero rain!!!  We started the day at the church getting ready in the bride’s room followed by a sweet ceremony.  After we headed to Minter Gardens for the rest of our photos. Chris and Britt were up for anything, as I had a last minute vision of Chris carrying  Britt in a field.  They gladly accepted my request and so the hunt was on for the right field…. we drove around until we spotted one!!  This particular field was in someone’s back yard, so we drove in the drive way and I ran up to the owner who happened to be leaving and asked if we could use his field.  He said yes!!!! I was so excited!!!  After our little adventure we headed to Minter, we managed to get everything we needed before we lost our light.  The reception had an awesome theme of pumpkins and candy due to Halloween being so close.  The wedding party walked in to surprise all guests with masks and moustaches, it was sooooo funny!  The day went smooth and ended up turning out perfect to end my season of weddings.  Thank you Chris and Britt for being fabulous and fun, love you guys!

Leave some love!!! Send me a comment!!!!   :)

Hot Yellow Car { Langley Wedding Photographer }

Sorry to have taken so long to get another post up, but lately blogging has been a struggle with all the family photo craziness.  Better late then never! Here is Leanne and Curt…. one word fabulous!!!  Leanne is one stylish bride!!!  From her gorgeous veil to her sparkly, silver shoes that on the bottom said “I do”, she looked fantastic.  Curt, and his “Me too” shoes, was looking pretty spiffy himself.  Their venue was wonderful, as the Langley Golf Course is always a beautiful place to have a ceremony and the reception.  The wedding party helped to make the day a lot of fun as we rushed around Redwoods Park snapping shots before it got too dark.  Leanne had an amazing wedding co ordinator Shae Fowler, who took care of everything.  Also, Curt’s sister did all the decor, and she’s also one of my clients, as I did her sweet baby boy’s photos last year.  Check these ladies out as they are both amazing!!!!   Overall the day went great and I can’t wait to give them all the images. Thanks, Leanne and Curt, for letting me a part of your truly special day.

My Best Friends Wedding {Vancouver Wedding Photographer}

Joanne and I have known each other forever…. and I really mean that.  My mom and her mom were friends in high school (still are) and Joanne and I grew up together.  There are so many things I could say about Jo, so many stories and adventures we have had together.  We have been through thick and thin, ups and downs.  Sooooo many amazing memories!  I have known Ryan for a while now and knowing Jo she couldn’t have found a better man.  He’s funny, smart, and loves my friend with all his heart.  I knew this was coming as they have been together for … well… a long time!!!  They had a sweet proposal at the Othello Tunnels and when she had called me I teared up because I was so excited for her.  The ring was incredible!  WOW!!!! You did well Ryan!  Probably one of the nicest rings I have seen, besides mine that my hubby got for me.  ;)  The one thing about this wedding is that I was a bridesmaid, photographer and wanted to help with as much as I could!  I had help shooting from my wonderful husband Shawn as well as Angela Baron a good friend of mine, from Type A Photography.  So three photographers and a baby (mine) started out the day with getting ready, and a first look, a first look is a romantic, different way to see the groom before the ceremony and have all the photos taken with no time pressure.  The ceremony and reception was held at Ryan’s Aunt’s house, which might I say was a phenomenal venue!  The day was long, but beautiful and sunny. We couldn’t have asked for anything better.

Joanne, I had an amazing time being a part of your wedding, and even more I love being your friend.  You are the cricket and I love you for everything you are and will become, I can’t wait to see what your future brings!!!

Thanks to Ang for getting this shot!

Their first look.

My mom does wedding flowers! Isn’t she talented? LOVE these!!!

Incredible venue, thanks to Ryan’s Aunt and Uncle. Nice shot Ang.

Pure emotion. Ang you captured it perfect!

Beautiful cake from Cupcakes at Royal Park. Tiph they were so yummy!!!

Construction Love {Chilliwack Wedding Photographer}

Shaun and Jessica had a construction themed wedding, Shaun works in construction so it fit them perfectly!  These two are so much fun, playful, kind and I can’t stop laughing when I’m around them.  They have the cutest puppy, he came with us for their engagement photos.  We went all the way to Eagle mountain, Shaun had a house he was building up there that we took photos in.  I liked that their construction theme continued to the wedding. To get the couple to kiss you had to make some noise…. hammer a nail, use the drill, and even rev a saw!  All the photos were done around Chilliwack, we went to barns, a farm with a big green tractor, the Chilliwack Museum, and even on helicopter!!!! This was epic with all our locations, and surprises…. Jessica didn’t know they would be flying to our first location.  We wrapped the day up at the Coast Hotel where Jessica had it decorated just perfect, every detail was amazing.  I love it every time I see a candy bar, such a neat idea, probably because I love candy so much!  Jessica you were stunning, and Shaun you looked pretty spiffy in a suit as well.  Thank you to both of you for having a part of your day!!!

I have never been this close to a helicopter before!!! A little scary!!!!!

One of the barns, this one was my fav!

Lovely ladies.

Now these were hot shoes!!! You rocked them Jess!

Love this one, and you two.

Can you tell what the rings are sitting on?

Mickey and Minnie Get Married! {Abbotsford Wedding Photographer}

Nikki and Stephen are such a joyful couple!!!  They had an amazing wedding, and I loved all the time and thought they had put into their day.!  We started the day off at Nikki’s parents house.  They were having a first look wedding so I was super excited to see their reactions when they saw each other for the first time.  A first look wedding is when the bride and groom set up a romantic time, before the ceremony, to share a moment and see each other for the first time before the busyness of the day really begins.

Hair and make up took a little longer then expected so we decided to get the guys over to Nikki’s parents place.  There I snapped some of the guys in the back yard and then we did all of Nikki’s getting ready photos up the living room, making sure to keep the guys out of sight.  The anticipation grew, and when they finally saw each other for the first time, on their wedding day, everybody felt the emotion.  The rest of the day was fantastic as we cruised to the park, in a fire truck, and spent the early afternoon shooting with the wedding party.  Nikki and Stephen’s Disney flair came out at the park as they both wore Mickey and Minnie Mouse ears, while holding giant lollipops, for the final part of the shoot.  After that we were on our way to a beautiful ceremony.  Thanks for making me part of your day you two!

I love the expression on Stephen’s face when Nikki comes to see him for their first look!

WOW! Nikki, your dress is stunning!!!

Just a little fire works show to end the ceremony!

Seriously? Don’t you just love these two!!!??

PLEASE! Leave a comment!!! I love to hear your thoughts!!!!

Redwoods {Fort Langley Wedding Photographer}

I have known Matt since high school and when I heard he was engaged, I couldn’t wait to meet his lady!  Paula and Matt are truly perfect for each other, and when I did their engagement photos it was so evident.  Their wedding was gorgeous, I love shooting at Redwoods Golf Course.  It has an incredible ceremony site, and a nice outdoor reception area.  Paula had everything decorated and put together just right, I was really in love with her colours that she picked.  They made their grand entrance in a sweet golf cart all decked out with bright colours, of course Paula was driving!!  One word…. awesome!  I just want to thank you both for having me be a part of such an amazing day.  I hope you love your photos!

Turning Two! {My Story}

My baby girl is now two!!!  It is so hard to believe, times goes so fast.  We celebrated with a picnic in the park, with family and friends.  I picked up cupcakes from Tracycakes Bakery Cafe, YUM!  My favourite!!!  We had hotdogs and chips, drinks and good conversation.  To my Presley, I love you so much.  The last two years with you have been incredible, watching you grow has been my greatest joy!  You have the biggest smile and a no fear attitude.  You are so special to me and I’m so excited for all the neat changes that will come with this year.  Even including potty training! (Mia will help with that!)

Two Little Girls {Abbotsford Baby Photographer}

These are my two little nieces, Anna and Sara.  They turned one at the end of June, so we were a little late with their cake smash.  So we finally set up a time, their mamma baked a yummy cake and we went for it! However, Anna and Sara were not having any of it!!  Sara fell off her chair, we had some crying, and smiles were hard to come by.  After some milk and snacks we were back at it and SUCCESS!!!  They were having so much fun, Sara dug right in and Anna was super clean with the icing.  Anna just liked touching the top of the cake and by the time she really got into it, Sara already had her hands, face and everything covered!!  I just love these little sweeties, and I’m so excited for their mommy to see their photos!

Anna was so cute, I love that head band!

We also took a couple family photos and some photos of their two big brothers!

If you want to book a smash the cake session contact me, the cake is included.
